We took our name from an infamous piece of graffiti at the corner of Pacific and 38th streets in San Pedro

We mostly play in Ken's garage.... (update we got kicked out of Ken's garage, now jamming at Corey's). we find that it's better for the public if we just stay there. We do occasionally work up the gumption to go out and play, but even then it?s usually in little dive bars where most of the patrons are too drunk to hear. We find that people who are too drunk to hear are more receptive to our music. We suggest if you happen to come to one of our rare appearances you drink heavily.

When you type all of this "information" in it asks you whether or not there were any special moments in your bands history. But, of course it doesn't say anything about that here, where you, our potential fan are spending your very valuable time, getting to know us a little better. So anyway here is one of our more special moments.

We were playing in one of our favorite dive bars and one of the patrons near the stage was telling the members of the band just how great he thought we sounded. About half-way through his oration he simultaneously threw-up and passed out on the stage, boy was that ever special!

Oh man, don't get me started, all these damn bands willing to put their music up on web sites and allow free downloads. I mean how the hell is anyone supposed to make any money? .......

Uhmm....... never mind.

Are you kidding!!! Heck yeah we'd love to get big fat recording contract with a major label. You know like two or three million dollars each per gig, get flown around the world on a private 747. Basically if you?re an industry bigwig and want to sign us just look up Mick, Keef, Ron, and Charlie's latest contract and up it by 15%

There were several early members but eventually a stable line up was achieved. This included David Carpenter, Steve Ernst, Bob Clark, and John Entwistle (actually it was Jon Lunkite, but I wanted to make sure you were paying attention). The early line up was eventually called Lung Butter, and produced a single album titled "Cough it Up", which is sadly now out of print. For a period of about one year Steve Ernst was replaced by the legend (in his own mind) Art Herman on bass. In early 2002 Lung Butter sort of dissipated, John went on to play with another band (I think it was called the Who or something like that), Art got even more legendary, and Bob and Dave just kind of shrugged their shoulders and said O' well I guess that's it.

In late 2002, or early 2003, Steve regained a bit of his tentative hold on reality, at least momentarily, and Dave and Steve teamed back up; this time with the highly competent assistance of Ken Dommer on acoustic guitar, and Dane Heathcock on Drums. The new line up was called Plastic Cactus, and some original recordings still remain on Soundclick under that name.

In April of 2005 Plastic Cactus played the first annual "Taste of the Bands" festival in San Pedro Ca. After achieving such notoriety, David decided that it was time to change the band's name, to throw anyone who might have been listening off our trail. Many other members of the band actually thought that this was not a good idea, and that in fact it was good to have a fan base that would remember our performance and perhaps come to one of our non-existent gigs. But David is nothing if not bull headed to a fault, and would hear none of that falderal. A new name was clearly needed, and Three Eyed Fish was that name.

Shortly after the festival, noted film maker Joe Dean was enlisted (I would say hired, but I'm quite sure he never got paid) to produce the Plastic Cactus "Live at the Warner Grand" DVD. The DVD was a stunning success, and sold in the tens of ... Ok we didn't actually sell any but, I'm sure I gave away at least ten of them to friends and family. At any rate the upshot of the DVD was that we found out Joe was not only a great film maker, but a very accomplished musician, and in May of 2005 Joe joined the newly named Three Eyed Fish on percussion and lap steel.
This line up remained constant until October of 2006 at which time, sighting emotional, artistic, and reality based differences Steve and Dave decided once again to part ways. The breakup was very amiable Steve got Dane, and Dave Joe and Ken got the name Three Eyed Fish, which Steve never liked anyway. The band existed with out drums (Come on, who really needs them?) for about two years. We finally conned Al into coming over with a drum kit somewhere around May of 2008, and despite all of Dave's bad drummer jokes we haven't managed to run him off yet. In early 2009 because of other commitments Joe resigned his position as bass player, and Cory Miller steped in to fill his shoes, with his portion of beer.
