Kurt Schulenburg is a composer/arranger who works with electronic and acoustic instruments to create soundscapes for emotional exploration. (And if you can think of a more pretentious way of writing... let me know!) Geez... I justed wanted something to listen to while soaking in my hot tub...
Why this name?
Well, I guess my parents helped out...

I don't play this music live...but I do play a whole lot of dixieland live!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet makes it possible to find composers and musicians that would otherwise remain unknown.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
No, not unless it was a day ending in "y".
Band History:
I've been creating computer recorded music for about 20 years, since the early days of MIDI and sampling. I've been involved in playing music since the early 60's, starting with piano and saxophone and adding most of the brass and woodwinds along the way.
Your influences?
My current influences are Bernard Herrmann, John Williams, Johannes Roussel, Maurice Ravel. I don't like mindless music... but I do like music to create moods and emotions.
Favorite spot?
Earth is pretty nice from what I've seen.
