I live and work in London, England. I have been writing music for many years and initially played acoustic guitar. After university, work meant that life became too busy to continue with writing and playing. Instead, I listened. My favourites were Soft Machine, Caravan, Genesis and Bach amongst others.

Years later, at a chance evening out, I decided to learn to play the saxophone. I listened to greats such as Coleman Hawkins and John Coltrane. I recorded two CDs of my songs having discovered Band in a Box.

More recently, I decided bought an electric guitar. That is where I am today. If I had to liken my songs to anybody's, it would Lou Reed. I am currently involved with recording a series of albums entitled "Music from ...", and have just completed "Music from my country". I am now writing for "Music from nowhere", although I may change the title!
Why this name?
I thought about having a "stage name" but decided against it.
Do you play live?
No, I am more of a songwriter than a singer.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It has given the chance for anyone with something musical to say to say it without the blessing of the musical industry. It is amazing just how many musicians, composers and singers there are out there producing music of high quality and originality.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes, but I am really looking for a publishing deal for my songs.
Your influences?
Lou Reed above all, but I am sure the groups I listened to in the '70s and '80s (e.g. Jethro Tull, Genesis, Yes, etc) must be having an influence as well.
Favorite spot?
London, because that is where I have lived for many years.
