The band names is taken in part from Manfred Von Richtoven "The Red Baron" and a pun on it from just Rippin it up on your instrument ... kinda like a the Rippingtons do with jazz fusion .. thus Ripthoven ... cool eh ?

I play live with various top 40 bands and projects ... seems to hard these days to get people to see your vision let alone get them to rehearse it all down and play live.

The internet has opened up the whole world to new and exciting things and music that they would thus otherwise never hear about

You betcha .. but just not a big one .. Id only take enough money that I knew I could pay back .

Ripthoven is really a one man band with guest musicians chiming in once in a while . I, Jamie Northrop am a Drummer/keyboardist that just got tired of having ideas and never getting any respect from other bands or band mates because I was in their eyes , "Just the drummer" so I started my own lil project to suit my needs as a musician

Trevor Rabin, Steve Morse,Micheal Schenker, Gary Moore, Thin Lizzy , Cozy Powell, Rainbow , Symphony X, Nightwish, Lacuna Coil,Marillion ,Enchant ..Yes Bach,,, and the list goes on.

Up and down the west Coast .. though Boise Rocks .. so does Albaquerque

I use my Pc.. and track with sonar 4 , cubase Sx . I use Ik multimedia synths and lots of Vst plugins to get where i'm going

Dont try and be the next big thing when it has already happened ..because it already has happened . Stick to your guns and do what you enjoy ..if people buy into and you go far the its a blessing .. but nobody will ever buy into somthing your not .. Be yourself
