Heat Of The City Entertainment consists of two main elements, Smokey Burns & Charizma, the up and coming super producers of North West London.

We specialize in rap and hip hop instrumentals, catering for all instrumental needs. We compose original music as well as sample.

JA is our lawyer & R. Pensmith handles the business side with JA. This includes setting up meetings, clearing samples, etc. Most importantly making sure we are paid what our beats are worth.

Why this name?

We are young producers constantly working hard to make hot beats consistently, all day every day.
There are no other producers in the UK working as hard as us when it comes to producing heat, hence the name Heat Of The City.

Do you play live?

Currently we do not play live; however Charizma is a trained drummer and used to play the drums in his high school band.

Smokey has been playing the piano from the age of eight, and is currently learning to play the drums and guitar.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?

The internet allows everybody to get heard. More specifically it allows the talented individual to have his/hers own space for their music.

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

Yes if the major had the same ethos as us.

70s soul & funk plays a major part in our music. The 70s was the era of good music such as Marvin Gaye, Aretha Franklin, Teddy Pendergrass, Quincy Jones, George Clinton etc.

We also enjoy the work of artists such as : Kate Bush, Phil Collins, The Beatles, Stevie Wonder, and James Brown.

Producers who we enjoy listening to are: DJ Premier, RZA, Heatmakerz, Just Blaze, Kanye West, Neptunes and Salaam Remi just to name a few.
