Yo, this is DemontraitZ. One third of Faces Of Death. Most of the crew's joints will come through my page, once we start really gettin' it crackin'. I'm a rookie to the whole recording thing, plus my "equipment" sucks, so bare with me. I been writing lyrics for about 3 years, freestylin and such, but I never really hit a mic until recently.
Why this name?
My name came about believe it or not, because of a role playing character. The group name came because basically, all three of us have some mental problems.. and we're quite prone to snap.
Do you play live?
Not yet.. I'm still flirtin' with the idea of rushin' a stage up in Portland. There aint no stages here in Salem unless you play some fashion of rock.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Yo.. The 'Net is a real good thing.. to an extent. For unknown artists such as Faces Of Death, we could pick up some major exposure. The extent, is like big-name artists like 50 Cent for example who are already gettin' hella cash for their music, losing money because everybody wants to just download their album. Now a song or two is ok.. some underground stuff, or net-mixes, cool! But you got some idiots downloading whole albums. That's weak. You wanna bump the new Necro album, go buy that.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Sure.. but right now I sure aint ready. It takes an hnest man to admit his faults. I just need a lot more practice on a mic before I answer this with a straight up "yes".
