Dark Energy falls into a sound all its own. Imagine solar melodies engulfed in cosmic storms and you'll be imagining the sounds of Dark Energy. Some have called it "Cosmic Blackmetal", "Blackened Progressive/Powermetal" or "Futuristic Blackmetal". Whatever it sounds like is your opinion. Dark Energy is a music machine sure to satisfy listeners from a range of metal genres.
Why this name?
In 2001, one day at home, jobless, I found myself entranced by a PBS program about a new theory called "Dark Energy". Dark Energy, in theory, is what powers the universe as we know it, so to say. I consider myself to be somewhat of a freak and I was extremely fascinated by the program so I decided to name the project "Dark Energy".
Do you play live?
Dark Energy is a solo project yearning a full crew to spread across this planet.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Personally I think its the shit. It gives musicians like me a chance to share my gift with the world. If you dont have a complete band, how are you going to play shows to get your music heard? At least your music is heard on the net ,which could lead to potential member contacts.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
If I was able to make a living just by playing music, yes. Its what I do best. I believe that performing a job you love is not a job at all. Writing music is work. Let alone you have to write for 5 different instruments for a song.
Your influences?
I have had so many band influences over the years and not all of them metal bands. Ive been influenced by Maiden, COF, OMC, Dimmu, Emperor, The Cure, Camel and others.
Favorite spot?
I love mexico. Cheap beer and whores too!

Dont let the solo aspect of Dark Energy fool you. Take a listen for yourself. Oh yeah, theres another Dark Energy located on this site but you cant find anything about it because the jackass hasnt uploaded anything for who knows how long. Besides, there can be only one Dark Energy! Webmasters should delete this individuals profile.
