Great way for artists to get exposure and for people to expose themselves to new music.

As far as downloading, it's all good for fans to download music from artists that they enjoy. BUT... when the fans only download and never go out to support the artists, they (the artists) suffer.

Good music is a team effort between the artists and the listeners. People often don't realize that artists aren't rich. There are many costs that go into making music, such as recording, CD duplication, studio time, and production. The artists are willing to throw down their life savings in order to make this happen, but it would still be nice to have some extra support by the fans. So, if you enjoy someone's music, please go support them. Whether its attending their shows, purchasing their CDs, or getting their merchandise, please support artists.
