I don't have a band! I'm a lyricist, not a performer. But I love places like Soundclick that let me share my music with people.
Why this name?
My parents chose it, actually. It's just my name.
Do you play live?
Nope. But I'd love to hear some other folks play my music!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Well, from a songwriter's viewpoint, the internet is a wonderful way to get your music heard and meet cowriters. I write with people all over the country (and a couple other countries, too!) that I never would have met without the internet.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Not looking for a recording contract. But I'll take as many publishing contracts as I can get!
Your influences?
I love all kinds of music, but I write mostly country. When I hear a great song on the radio, I'm more likely to ask, "who wrote that?!" than "who sings that?". Some of my favorite writers are Gary Burr, Rivers Rutherford and Craig Wiseman.
Favorite spot?
I love Nashville more every time I go. But my heart belong to the Outer Banks of North Carolina.
