Stickers n' Stitches is a two-man experimental electronic group from the Philippines. SnS generates sounds from a home computer, and sculpts them into songs. The group does every thing that one can ever imagine. Electronic, dance, trance, rock, metal, whatever.
Why this name?
The "Stickers" part was from an Eraserheads album, "Sticker Happy". The "Stitches" part was from an Orgy song with the same title.
Do you play live?
We are looking forward to playing live. We don't have a complete equipment set yet.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet is a new and fresh medium for music transmission. Nowadays, more and more artists are emerging, through the help of the net. The net added more freedom and more exposure to various types of music.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes, if the label would give us enough freedom to do what we think is the best thing for us.
Band History:
Spife Knockturn began recording sounds and experimenting with them on their old pc. The next moment, he was making less-than-a-minute-long songs with Mitzelle. When a new pc came, Spife became more experimental, along with the emergence of the Tuareg and Fruityloops. The two began making longer (and more sensible, hehe) songs.
Your influences?
Moby, The Smashing Pumpkins, Chemical Brothers, Michelle Branch, Avril Lavigne, Vanessa Carlton, The Cranberries, among many others.
Favorite spot?
The Bedroom.
Equipment used:
We make the best out of what we have now. Fruityloops, Tuareg, Sound Recorder, Sound Forge and n-track Studio.
Anything else...?
Well, Spife (I) is (have just turned) 16, and Mitzelle is just 11 at the time. Tell us what you think, so we know what to do. We believe there is unlimited room for improvement.
