"CAPTAIN BEYOND" was the nickname for the guitar player,Larry "Rhino" Reinhardt,during an European tour with IRON BUTTERFLY.

Band History:

CAPTAIN BEYOND was formed in 1972,consisting of ex members of DEEP PURPLE,IRON BUTTERFLY,AND JOHNNY WINTER.After recording three stunning albums (CAPTAIN BEYOND,SUFFICIENTLY BREATHLESS,AND DAWN EXPLOSION)They toured the world and gained acclaim for their superior songwriting and musicianship.Captain Beyond has reformed for the new millenium,and expects to take the world by storm!!The current lineup cosists of founding members "RYNO" REINHARDT (GUITAR)and BOBBY CALDWELL (DRUMS) with JIMI INTERVAL (VOCALS) JEFF ARTABASY (BASS) and DAN FRYE(KEYBOARDS)
