Based on our message of hope and acceptance-no one is a "plain jane" in God's eyes. He loves us all exactly as we are and wants HIm to come to Him just as we are...plain, average, ordinary, extraordinary!

YES-YES-YES! All over the USA and we want to play LIVE in your community too! Although our music is geared for the youth and young adult market it certainly is not offensive to the adult listener so our shows are great for all ages! We've played everything from Elementary Schools (the little kids love us) to significant adult attended fundraisers. We cater our show to the appropriate market we are playing for.

For us, as an independent artist it has truly been a Godsend. Our partnerships in internet radio have actually been responsible for our greatest successes.

We look at every opportunity as just that...an opportunity! We formed PLAIN JANE to create music that would inspire others. Although we have been tuly blessed as an independent artist we are well aware that the RIGHT label partnership could help us broaden our market and introduce our music and message to a much larger audience. We follow God's lead here but our first objective-above all-is to touch someones heart with a song that encourages them.

In 1999, a group of musicians moved to Nashville with the goal of making music that would inspire others. It wasn't long thereafter that they formed an alternative modern rock quartet called PLAIN JANE. Their blend of melodious driven pop/rock sounds and positive based lyrics was something new and fresh but somewhat familiar at the same time. With the help of producer Tony Palacios (acclaimed guitarist for Guardian), PLAIN JANE completed their debut album. Critics who heard early tracks clearly indicated this CD was ANYTHING BUT PLAIN. Soon they had tracks being played on CHR, Christian Rock Radio, Catholic Radio, Alternative Secular Radio, and Internet Radio. The increased excitement and powerful reviews eventually led them to TV and other media outlets that recognized there was nothing plain about this band.

In 2003, PLAIN JANE was named GROUP OF THE YEAR at the Kansas City Christian Music Awards. In addition they were named “One of the Top 7 Indie Bands of 2003” by The 7 Project sponsored by Malone College and the ALIVE Festival. In 2004, PLAIN JANE took home 3 more KCCM Awards. This time for ALBUM of the Year, SONG of the Year (for their prayerful ballad, Chasing You) and the award for LIVE PERFORMER of the Year. Just recently PLAIN JANE also was awarded 3 Unity Awards from the UCMVA. The Unity Awards are the Catholic/Christian equivalent of the Dove Awards. They took home honors for Rock Song of the year, Modern rock/Alternative Album of the Year and Group of the Year. What a wonderful blessing for this interdenominational band!

Aside from great music, this band has an awesome message to share as well. It is their goal to help others to see that no one is a “plain jane” in God’s eyes! He sees us all as beautiful and HE wants us to come to him exactly as we are-regardless of the size of our pocketbook, the clothes we wear, the cross on our back! PLAIN JANE believes we are all given special gifts and it is your responsibility to seek those gifts and then share them with others.

Since we are a fem-fronted band it's easy to compare us to someone like No Doubt, Alanis Morrisette, even Pat Benatar but as musicians we are inspired by numerous artists in a variety of genres like U2, Sting, Foo Fighters, etc. Not a whole lot of people do what we do in the Christian Rock category. That's what makes us unique!

oohh tough one...there are so many places we've visited and have gotten such an awesome reaction. We've got a great fan base in Kansas, Ohio, Georgis, Missouri and of course up in PA and NJ where 3/4 of our members are from originally!

We are really excited about our sophomore CD which we are writing and recording now.
