OUR MISSION STATEMENT
If Jesus walked through the front door, held out his hand, and said “I need you, please come with me.” What would you do?
KINDRED SPIRIT BAND. Yes, that's our band's name, but it's much more than that. Each and every one of us are Kindred Spirits in Jesus Christ. When we started this journey it was with this idea.
For us it's simple. We stand up and go. Wherever and whenever we are asked we simply go. No questions asked. That is the nature of being called. You don't question it. You don't worry about being paid. You don't worry about missing the game on TV. You don't worry about any of the worldly things. You just do what you are called to do. For us it is Praising and Worshiping God through music and trusting that God will take care of our needs. It's equally important to understand that God is everywhere. We are called to fill a need. Any church or Christian event that needs Worship music can call us and we will do everything we can to be there. You see, we owe a debt to Jesus that can never be repaid but we will spend the rest of our lives trying. God has given us all many gifts. Singing, playing an instrument, writing music and songs are all gifts from God and need to be used as such. Stepping up and running sound, running power point, filling any need that comes up is honoring the commitment of answering a calling. We recognize and accept the responsibilities that go along with these gifts. God has blessed us at every turn. It has been the most amazing journey. It is the most incredible thing to feel the Holy Spirit come and reach out and touch people's hearts. It is the most beautiful thing when someone accepts Jesus into his or her life. This is the most important thing one person can do for another. We owe it to all to let them know there is Hope, Forgiveness, and Life in Jesus Christ.
Less of us and more of God.
What would YOU do?

Kindred Spirits with God.
the special part of it all. Any time people are touched by God is special for us.
We play for several Celebrate Recovery programs. This is an important Ministry and we are honored to be of service.
We played at LeClaire Park, in Davenport, Iowa for a youth festival. The coolest thing happened that day. There was a man that was just hanging around the park. We all noticed him when we were setting up. Soon after we started playing we all noticed him being prayed for and found out later he accepted Jesus. This is what it’s all about and God gets all the credit and glory. It was God’s Hand working through the music. We are vessels and nothing more than that. Without God’s Holy Spirit this is just music and we are just musicians.

This can be time spent with family or friends just appreciating the joys that God has brought to our lives.
guitar. 2 chorus pedals, EQ pedal, reverb pedal, over drive pedal (I finally found one that will work with the acoustic guitar), and a Univibe.
Because that is what being called is. You don't think about it you just take His hand and go.
