Little Failures plays acoustic pop/folk. "Little Failures may very well be the Swedish equivalent of the Indigo Girls" (Heidi Drockelman, indie-music.com)
Why this name?
We played around with the initial letters in our first names.
Also, this was just before our first gig, and we thought Little Failures would be easy to change into Total Disasters if we made complete fools of ourselves :-)

Do you play live?
Yes! We play live! And we love it. All gigs have been special, especially the ones on our U.S. tour back in 98, for example the improvised street gig we had in Seattle - we had 5 or 6 young Latinos dancing in front of us and a pretty big crowd cheering...
There are many rememberable gigs - for example our 5th anniversary gig in March 2002! December 2002 in Kungsträdgården outside in snow! And our releaseparty at Dancin Dingo in Stockholm December 2003, it was a magic night.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
For us, it has made the entire difference. We would not be this good if we hadn't had the opportunity to try our wings overseas.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
We have already released a CD on our own recordlabel. But if anyone would be interested in distribution, that would be great. And we wouldn't say now if we were signed for the next album. Look out for tracks from the debut album "Moving on" you will soon be able to listen to it here. There are samples on our website and you can order it from www.littlefailures.com
Band History:
We started as a duo in -96. Had first gig Feb -97. Put up web site May -97. Since then, we've had more than 7 000 visitors. Toured the U.S. summer of 1998 - a tour we wouldn't have done if it hadn't been for the web site.
In 1999, we made it to the second round of the local talent search for Lilith Fair in Washington D.c. Unfortunately, we couldn't go - we have no sponsors whatsoever yet, and airline tickets are expensive, especially overseas. We still consider it a great honor to be one of 20 acts rated good enough for Lilith :-)
In the spring of 2000, we finally decided it was time to bring in some serious rhythm stuff, so we found Henrik Buskas. Also, Sofia Broomé (violin), Lisen Schultz (cello) and Harald Sickenga (bass, harmonica, electric guitar) who's been with us on and off over the years are now with us permanently.
Now in 2003, Sofia and Henrik has left us, but we have a fantastic new drummer, Jonas Blom.
