Dubois, PA - Based melodic hardcore band Ahimsa Sunrise was formed in 1999. Members Seth Cooper, Jarrod Currin, and Brian Caine began collaborating while in High School. Only one roster change happened to the band throughout the years in that the current drummer Patrick Gallagher, which shifted the musical direction of the band, replaced the original drummer. From here the band has been writing much more versatile music for over a year which much better fits their style.

The music A.S. plays is a style that most people have said they have never heard before. It has something to offer for everyone. There is the soft, melodic sound that some people enjoy and there is the aggressive, raw sound that gets you pumped and makes you want to rock out. The only way I can recommend that you hear what they sound like is to go see them live. Check out the shows section to find out when and where.

Now, these four are currently playing shows on a regular basis while working on their debut album "The Viceroy and the Monarch" which should be out sometime 2005.
