Hoodfiliates means to have an affiliation with the hood. Like many African American children in we grew up in the hood and still got connections/affiations whether it be friends, family, etc. We chose this name to symbolize where we're from. In today's rap industry the hood is looked upon as a negative thing..."I saw drugs in the hood...gun shots in the hood"...even though this stuff is true, we had friends in hood...and we wouldn't change that part of our lives for anything. No matter where we go with this rap thing, we won't let ourselves forget where we came from. The Hood.

We've done a fair amount of shows around the Boston area. Basically we fit in where ever we can get in. We often take trips to any MC battles that we hear of...and might I say..we rarely lose. We've done a couple showcases for some AR's for Def Jam (worst night of my life) and some other labels...so we got a few connects that we working with right now.

The internet is one of the greatest tools created for unsigned artists. It gives anyone instant access to some of the most creative pieces of work imaginable. Instead of me having to send my music I can just have them go online and get a sample instantly.

Yes I would sign with a major label in a second. Why do you ask...I know, I've heard of all the horror stories...but I honestly believe that we are what the hip hop game needs right now. Plus, I feel like somebody has to take a chance an stir rap back on course...cuz right now all I hear on the radio is garbage.

Influences are...Nas, Big, Canibus, Mase, Mobb Deep, Wu Tang, Big Pun, Jay-Z,...there are some nice new cats too...but none too influental

Favorite spots are...in order...Boston(cuz that's where I'm at now), CT (cuz that's where I was raised), NY (cuz there's nothing else like it), Louisiana (cuz that's where I was born), VA (lived there for a lil bit), FL (cuz mom dukes lives there..and the weather)
