Hey out there! Thanks for visiting the site. We hope you enjoy.
Why this name?
Mike originally came up with the name & everybody agreed. It's origin comes from "Monolith". A monolith is a geological or technological feature (a column or monument). The word derives from the Latin word monolithus: meaning (ONE)
Do you play live?
All of us have been in different bands. We had our first public performance Jan 12th at the Thompson Arts Centre. It went very well except for the cold weather.(-40 degrees) We still had a great time & look forward to doing it again.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Thats a good question. Its good for new bands trying to make a go of it !
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
If it was a good deal?
Band History:
Post dated from January 2006) Carl has decided to step away from Monalith. We would like to wish Carl all the best & good luck in his future endevours. Monalith had a great time playing together with Carl and he will be missed as part of the band. On a lighter note we are happy to welcome Gord Medwid to his new position in Monalith as our drummer. We look forward to ripping it up with him. Mario will be leaving the skins & taking a different role on the front lines as our new Guitarist. Talk to ya soon, Monalith.
