Band History:
Bio of Less Than Sum

Less Than Sum was formed in 2002 as a typical punk band that practiced seldomly. The group later booted one of its guitarists, realizing that he was holding them back, and pulling them from the direction they wanted to go. After their first gig, LTS decided to remain a three man band because the trio had a strong sense of communication, and a solid bond. In early 2001 Daniel Dew, (founder,bass/vocals) wanted to start a band that was a little bit heavier than most traditional punk bands. At the time, he was good friends with Nick Anderson, (drummer/backing vocals) who, like Daniel, had a great interest in music. So when Nick was approached about being in a band, he instantly joined in. Later on in the year, they discovered a good friend of theirs, Jamison Peters, (guitarist/
vocals) also shared the same love for music as they did. Originally called the Hooligans, the three changed their name to Less Than Sum in favor of a more serious approach. A fourth member later joined and was kicked out a few weeks later when he started taking over the band.
After the release of their first major recording, the Saturday EP, LTS has been playing local gigs to promote themselves. They have been invited to play in Branson, Missouri, many various locations in Oklahoma, and they put on one hell of a show.Exact Show dates will be listed as they unfold. Less Than Sum plans to record there new album sometime over February 2005. Look for a new single from their unreleased album sometime over this January.
