SoundClick artist: DESCENSION - Dark Metal band with Gothic and Horror influences

DESCENSION is a Dark Metal band from the midwest that has famous Theatrical Stage shows and apretty large following from not only the Metal community, but from the Punk community as well. Considered by many to be the Metal band with the Punk attitude, Descension writes music that is both brutal and melodic, heavy yet textured. Nominated Four years in a row as the Best Metal Band in Kansas City, as well as Best Live Band by Pitch Magazine and the official Kansas City Music Awards, Descension is a band of variety and visuals.

Why this name?

The band was originally called Stygian in it's early seed form, but when we rounded out the line-up with the current songs and such, we all sat down and wrote band names and the meaning of each name and all voted. Descension was the one we all kind of liked and it stuck.

Do you play live?

"We have played all over the USA but one of the highlights is the Milwaukee Metalfest where we shared the stage with our idols!" Astoroth Occultus, demon band leader explained. "But we will play anyplace at any time with any band - no ego, no bullshit, no macho nonsense and no attitudes."

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?

The internet made it possible for the demons in this band to be called upon from the depths of Hell so we could rise up and form this demonic supergroup and take control of mankind.

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

If a major label had the balls to sign this band, we'd do it as long as we could keep control of our music and image.
