HI, WELCOME TO MY HOMEPAGE, PLEASE CLICK THE MUSIC link TO LISTEN TO MY TRACKS. The picture shows me playing in an episode of "EASTENDERS" at Frank & Pat Butcher's wedding, with Tim Williams, a 'keyboard wizard' from Texas, & Bernie who plays bass & sax with sixties group 'Vanity Fayre' (big hit 'Hitchin a Ride'). In this shot I'm singing one of my own compositions at the "EASTENDERS" wedding called "JUST A MATTER OF TIME' which is on my album 'Reflexions'.
Why this name?
My surname name comes from the generic pronunciation of my family name, which is of French or Italian origin.
Do you play live?
I play live at clubs, pubs, parties, weddings etc & most of the time I enjoy it, but I'm sure everyone has their off-nights when you wish you weren't there. One of my favourite moments was playing on 'Eastenders'
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet has given the opportunity for any artist to have their work heard & to access a whole new world of music.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I have had a couple of records released, but I would be more interested in a publishing deal than recording.
Band History:
I'm mainly a solo artist. I've had a couple of record releases, the first on the MEAN Label, from the same company who had 'SMOKEY' ('LIVING NEXT DOOR TO ALICE' "ALICE"). was a cover of 'OH PRETTY WOMAN' c/w an original ballad called 'Teenage Heartbreaker' & the second, on an Indie label called 'Romany' had two original songs 'True Love (Don't Come Easy) c/w 'Our Song', a ballad which is also on my album 'Reflexions'. Before I went solo, I was a drummer & once played with BILLY FURY's band 'The Gamblers' & backed BILLY on the radio programme 'Saturday Club' back in the sixties.
Your influences?
I'm mainly into Fifties & Sixties music, Rock & Roll, Ballads, Country, MOR Etc. I've written & recorded a song called 'Pedal to the Metal' which is great for Line Dancing, & I've also recorded a Video for it on DVD.
Favorite spot?
I was born in London, so I'll always love it, but I live out in a rural country area now, which suits me fine.
Equipment used:
I've got a 1979 Fender Strat, which I think was once owned by 'The Pretenders' (Chrissie Hynde) & for gigs a rackmount PA with digital fx, & a cd/karaoke player for back up.
Anything else...?
