Future Image uses synthesizers and computers to create a wide range of electronic music from The Electric Shrine.
Why this name?
The first idea was 'Second Image' that was the name of a hair and beauty salon in the countryside. But when I found the name had already been taken, I changed my name to 'Future Image'.
Do you play live?
Only very occasionly; about once or twice a year. I'd like the opportunity to gig more.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think that mp3s are pushing out the compact disc which is a shame. Saving your money up to get a 'real' CD has got a certain excitement to it.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I'd rather get signed to an indie label.
Your influences?
Jean-Michel Jarre, Kraftwerk, Aphex Twin, Autechre, John Foxx, Brian Eno, The Human League, Air, Jamie Lidell, Talking Heads,
