They label him a Paper Terrorist...but all he does is provide weapons of mass debunking so that his crowds can combat weapons of mass deception! This poet, writer, producer, and musician is well known for dropping bombs of truth, enlightenment, and heat whenever he releases anything. Ladies and gentlemen, we give you...Nyne Elementz!!
Why this name?
Nyne Elementz reflect my spiritual elementz, the very spiritual elementz kept by my ancestors from which I draw power to write the truth for the benefit of the masses.
Do you play live?
I perform live in the Myrtle Beach, Georgetown, and Conway, SC area on a regular basis. I have also performed in Greenville, SC, Houston, TX, Atlanta, GA, and Augusta, GA. I am always looking for opportunities to touch the lives of many with my words.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet allows the artist to keep his creative control and to stay true to himself/herself. Secondly, it allows you to offer your work without being pimped by the entertainment industry.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
No. I don't believe that if I signed with a record label, they would continue to support me if they heard some of my views on certain issues. Everything is so based on one's personal politics in the industry because the industry companies care more about preserving their own image, not backing up the artists. I would rather be known for taking a stand with my poetry than one who bowed down to political aims and agendas to keep my deal.
Band History:
I had already been involved with poetry, reciting poems of black poets as a child and reading poetry often as I grew. In my senior year in high school, I was asked to write poems as reactions to english reading assignments. I had no training as far as writing poetry at that time, but the first poem I wrote compared certain things in the city of Charlotte, NC to Jazz Instruments. The teacher remarked that I had the soul of a poet next to my A++. I thought that she was kidding, because I just did it for class. So I kept doing poems for each assignment, and regardless of whether or not that was what the teacher wanted, I got praised for the power of my words. The teacher even suggested that I publish my poetry. I refused, not knowng any better at the time, but I kept writing poetry and discovered my gift of poetry. And I promised myself that I would not think of publishing, producing, or performing until I mastered my level of poetry. That promise was made 14 years ago. I've performed now for nearly 3 years, on top of writing for 14 years. I'm now in the production and self-publishing stage. Soon, I will be a published spoken word artist and poet.
Your influences?
My music is a blend of all the musical influences I've had, from Classic soul to Jazz, Hip Hop to Neo Soul, even classical and rock.

Anything else...?
First and foremost, God is the poet scribing through me, often using the voices of my ancestors to provide me with the inspiration I need to write and spit. I'm not only a poet. I'm a writer. I publish a quarterly e-magazine called The Brothers' Perspective. I'm also an aspiring producer, a musician, and a conscious free spirit that loves life.
