NEWS
06, April 2: There are birds pirched on the wires linking telophone poles. Can they hear the conversations passing through? Are they learning our language in slow increments, bent on plotting our demise? Or do they simply partake in the gossip thinking less of us for it?
06, Feb 07: More things are posted for you to listen to. They are things that are fun, so you best enjoy them... or I will pull them and never let you listen to them again... you selfish bastards!!
05, Aug 29: The Gulf Coast is getting pummeled by Katrina and so everybody's upset. But hey, to cheer you up I present you with a couple news songs. Everyone wins!
05, May 6: Mostly for lack of free time to do anything more in-depth (with finals fast approaching) I have been working on a lot of acoustic music. It's all very raw, in that it's recorded 100% live baby. Okay, well some of it will have some tweaking later on... Anyway, no one reads this so, what the crud? I'm talking to myself...which is dumb because I already know all this stuff.
I'm experimenting with new forms of musical expression. It sounds really deep, but it's really not. I'm always working on new ideas and recording new songs, and I'm sure-over extended increments of time- I will post them all.

I am called Ryan. My music is called Podestrium. The music varies in quality, usually improving as time advances and soberness subsides.
The music ranges from experimental and moody to sad and acoustic. Lately I have been recording primarily acoustic material to serve as vessels, carrying the stories of my fears, my hopes, society, nature (to which we are citizens), and the sad, unplaced longing burried in the mind of all Americans in search of that beautiful, empty dream.

Why this name?
You and I have passed one another, perhaps not literally, but some like ourselves. We fought desperately to avoid any glimpse into the other's eyes. You were on a mobile phone. My ears were consuming an endless supply of binary codes and digital frequencies, through headphones. You and I ignored eachother. You did not exist. I did not exist. But we both felt that may have been a lie. It is easier on the highway where we do not destinguish the person from the car. Where you are the only driver amid rivers of unconscious objects in motion. But when outside of our steel clothes, when we are naked and denying the humanity of eachother, there are repressd question: "Is this happiness or a finely crafted lie?"

Do you play live?
Northlight Books' Open Mic (Cotati) sometimes.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It complicates things, creates legal loopholes and abstractions, frustrations spawning from intellectual property rights concerns, lawsuits, receeding record lable revenue, a brief window of sonic anarchy in a medium long in submission. All is change... for a time.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
No
Band History:
It all started when...

Anything else...?
I also do quite a bit of side projects with my friend Josh (Theokratique). Some of the music we've done together is featured on his page, soundclick.com/theokratique.htm . Amen.
