Why this name?
when the band first formed,we were originally called "BORN DEAD" as we found it funny to be in a pop-punk band with a death metal name. we changed the name when we found another band with the same name, to ThreeDaysNotice. this was originally intended to be a temporary name, but it ended up as a permanent name for us.
Do you play live?
we play gigs every couple of months in our local area of Blackburn. the band really enjoy it, and our best moment of playing live was headlining for the first time at a gig at King Georges hall in Blackburn. we are to be supporting Buzzcocks, Trash Light Vision, Johnny Panic, & the Wayriders on 27th March
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The Internet and Mp3 have changed the Music industry in both a good & bad way. the good way being that it promotes lesser-known bands (like ourselves) to a wider audience, and it gives the oppurtunity for people to download songs that are unavailable anywhere else. However, the disadvantages of this are that bands' songs can be downloaded illegally and they don't get paid for their work and that CD sales are decreasing rapidly.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
we don'tknow as of yet, but if any are offering...
Band History:
Bio of ThreeDaysNotice
ThreeDaysNotice was formed in mid-November 2003. The band consisted of;
*Marco Galea - Vocals/lead guitar
*Shaun Eddleston - Rhythm guitar
*Austin Clarke - Drums
Austin later left ThreeDaysNotice to join The Exorsisters as a full time band commitment. The band, by this stage, had already wrote a few of their own songs, these being "Ballad Of A Busker" "Instruction" and "Point And Click".
With these songs in place, and the band in need of a new bass player and drummer, Chris Blockeel and Joe Darbyshire joined the band on very short notice to fulfill a local gig, which never went ahead due to mix-up of support acts.
In May 2004, the new line-up was complete. Since then, a few more songs have been written including "We Will Not Refrain", "Voice Of The Mediocre" and "She Fades" (the latter being written by Joe).
They have played their first gig exceeding 300 people at their high school, Headlined a gig at King Georges Hall in Blackburn (along with Ex-band member Austin with his new band The Exorsisters).
The band are also set to play with The Buzzcocks and Acey Slade's Trash Light Vision on the 27th March 2005.
Some more gigs are yet to be confirmed at different venues in their local area (please check the home page or www.noizeanoize.tk for info on upcoming ThreeDaysNotice gigs). Also a proper EP is to be recorded at the End Of February to better the other recordings on this site. This is expected to be released in spring 2005 on the Noize Anoize promotion label.
