Inspired by acts like Wipers, New Order, Mogwai, Kraftwerk, Drexciya and others. Warehouse is about
mood and ideas. A related project like Wax-Static is more of a clear sounding breakbeat and techno act.
Why this name?
The bandnames: well, Warehouse just sounds o.k. and has an alternative connotation. The fact that it's a part of the name of Hüsker Dü's last album was an extra reason! Wax-Static just popped up and was here to stay!
Do you play live?
Sorry. Only with moody wavers/postrockers Fertile Reality.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The people take control and are no longer dependent which is great.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
If it's a good deal, why not. As long as artistic integrity remains untouched.
Band History:
Warehouse is just one of the alternative musical projects from the western parts of the Netherlands among f.e. Fertile Reality and Kratarknathrak. In this fertile environment different projects form different outlets for various musical ideas. Whether computer music or lo fi stuff, it doesn't matter.
