Why this name?
We are brothers. CALABRESE is our last name.
Band History:
In 2001, CALABRESE was formed by the three brothers Bobby, Jimmy, and Davey Calabrese. The brothers, from Phoenix, AZ, have combined Gothabilly looks, B-movie drive-in lyrics and a Rock n' Roll sound. CALABRESE has been described as "melodic, hook-laden, catchy, fun, horror-themed Rock with a Punk attitude."Blasko, the bassist for THE DEATH RIDERS and ROB ZOMBIE states, "I think CALABRESE is one of the top Horror Rock bands I have heard."

After self-releasing the 6 song EP: MIDNIGHT SPOOKSHOW in 2003, to rave reviews from fans and critics from around the world, CALABRESE was approached by several Indie Labels. Declining the offers, CALABRESE has stayed true to their independence and created their own label, SPOOKSHOW RECORDS. For it's first release CALABRESE introduces "13 Halloweens" a thirteen song full length CD. CALABRESE has been asked to appear on such punk rock compilations as AZPunk.Comp V2, AZPunk.Comp V3, Hellnight-O-Rama 2, P.A.I.N. Soundtrack Vol. 1, and featured in several Independent Films, PRISON A GO GO, CHAINSAW SALLY, ZOMBIE PUNKS FROM BEYOND THE GRAVE, CABRAS and the documentary HORROR FILM: THE MOVIE. CALABRESE has also recorded their version of the song, "Night Of The Living Dead" for the MISFITS Tribute CD, "Too Much Horror Business A Tribute To The Misfits 1977-1983." CALABRESE can be heard on the radio in regular rotation on MUTANTS FROM OUTER SPACE KUCI 88.9 FM Irvine, IN THE GRAVEYARD WNTI 91.9 AM New Jersey, HORROR BUSINESS Spook Rock Radio WSMU 91.1 FM Massachusetts and THE BLAZE KASC 1260 AM Phoenix. CALABRESE has been written up in the College Times, Phoenix Newtimes (along with countless websites) and has appeared in such national and international horror magazines as FANGORIA and RUE MORGUE.

CALABRESE appeals to those who feel left out of the current music scene, and with distribution in the U.S. and Germany CALABRESE is quickly building an international underground name. With the release of the highly anticipated "13 Halloweens" and consistent touring and song writing CALABRESE pushes even further into the nightmares of helpless fans!
