After a ten year hiatus, reclusive performance artist/producer antinul returns to the studio. Informed by a widely divergent roster of artists (notably Harry Partch, John Cage, Herbert Brun and Brian Jones), antinul is a strange musical journey through the largely unmapped underbelly of electronic "pop".
Why this name?
Band names are meaningless.
Do you play live?
No...never.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Internet distribution liberates musicians from the tyranny of both the outmoded compact disc distribution platform and the cyclical nature of CD releases (i.e. the 10 to 12 month wait for new "product" to be made available).
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
No.
Your influences?
Harry Partch, John Cage, Herbert Brun, Brian Jones, Joe Meek, Jandek, Public Image, The Stooges, Leonard Cohen
