Michael Fix has been evolving as one of Australian music's leading acoustic guitarists for the past decade or more. That's partly due to his remarkable skills as a guitarist, but mostly it's because of his unique music - a passionate, emotional, evocative outpouring that captivates listeners.
Why this name?
It's my real name!
Do you play live?
Concerts & workshops at music festivals across Australia - folk, country, jazz & blues, and of course, guitar festivals. 2004 saw the first of my European trips, playing festivals and workshops in Italy and Germany.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
An incredible way for independent artists to receive exposure.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Only if the deal were right
Band History:
Michael's repertoire includes Jazz and Blues, Celtic and Australian Folk, Country, Classical and his own distinctive compositions, many of which have received TV and radio exposure, as well as various major awards.

Michael's unique style - distinctively Australian and highly original in its presentation - marks him as a performer not to be missed.

‘After nearly 30 years of involvement in the music industry, I’ve come to realize that music is life - the ups and downs that life dishes up are reflected in the music I write. But the journey wouldn’t be nearly as much fun without your interest and support. The greatest joy comes from connecting with you. Thank you for sharing the journey.’
