Tha HavKnotz members are Jonny Wu a.k.a.(The Corrupter) and Slim Diesel a.k.a. (Captain Smack-a-hoe). The group was founded on hardtimes booze and alot of drugs.Tha HavKnotz would rather get "get blowed with u" than take it to the "streets of rage". Fueled by tittie bar anthems like"lick a little Low" tha havknotz are the ultimate party group. With buds and budwieser swimming in thier veins they created the underground smash hit "what tha f***". So tap your kegs and roll your blunts cause soon tha down and dirty bros. will be in a town near you.
Why this name?
It's actually a synonym it has two meanings, one meaning we don't have shit,the other meaning we will "have Knots" of money once we get this thing off the ground.
Do you play live?
Live shows are the backbone of our fanbase. we like to get up and close with our fans as much as possible. Our most favorite moment would have to be our first show we did before we had any real good quality music made at a bar on the eastside of Detroit called the huddle lounge. We performed, nobody knew who we were but by the end of the last chourus we had the whole crowd singing our shit. But the best part was these two young groupie h** that we ended up taking back to Jonny Wu's place they sucked and f***ed we got real down and dirty!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Well, up and coming groups like us now have the oppurtunity to share our music to fans worlwide instead of just in your city or on your block.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
What we would rather do is have the major labels come after us and be the leaders of our destiny by creating such a buzz in the underground that they have no choice but to sign us.
Band History:
In 2004 two lifetime friends were fed up with the "bling-bling" in hiphop. We are the ultimate haters and decided to create their own brand of music and just be down and dirty. Mixing party elements and sexual overtones tha Havknotz have been turning heads in Detroit for some time now. With music you can smoke to, f*** to, ride to and crack your baby momma's head open to. We continue to make music for the average muthaf***a with struggles and that just wants to get ahead in this f***ed up world.
