Words of Prophecy

Why this name?
the name is PROPHECY a.k.a KINETIC. both names were given to me by my crew, the H.G.C (the Hallucinogenics Clique)
Do you play live?
never played live, but maybe one day.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
the net changed the game man. it gives artists a chance to have their music heard by people all over the world.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
i dont know. i think i'd wanna stay independent. but if the deal was right, then yea.
Band History:
back when i was younger i didn't have a stereo or nuthin. only time i heard the radio was in the car with my parents, and they always listened to oldies...so i do have an appreciation for that. but the 1st time i heard hip-hop was when i heard the great adventures of slick rick. as i got older i started writin rhymes, nuthin serious, but i would think of rhymes and just write em down in a notebook or a school book or just some random piece of paper. i joined the military when i was 17 and got stationed out in Cali. i met a bunch of cats that all rapped. that's when i really started to spit. the crew was called H.G.C(The Hallucinagenics Clique). it was breakuoff, whooie, strange love(r.i.p), the black actor, playa epp, u-mack, o.d, amg, and myself. we'd be up in the dorms just wilin out, freestylin and drinkin. we just had a few mics, a 4 track mixer and a gang of instrumental tapes. that's when i started writin seriously, and i been doin it ever since. now, i consider myself a lyricist. str8 up on some other shit. i like to switch my style up a lot too. i try to be real creative when im making a song.
Your influences?
Rakim, WU-Tang, Nas, BIG, Bootcamp, Tribe, Redman, Slick Rick, H.G.C
Equipment used:
a mic, some trees, and ziggy's.
Anything else...?
i'm putting an album together, skillfully produced by Chew a Root, we're not sure exactly when it will be ready. this year for sure, hopefully late spring or summer. there's some scheduling conflicts holding us up. this is my 1st time really puttin my music out there for a large audience so any feedback is welcomed. so post a message and let me know what u think, if ur feelin it or if ur not. constructive criticism is always cool, but try not to hate just to hate.
peace-
Proph.
