Ripped began in 1998. Sandra Olender is the lead vocalist and Moody is the lead guitarist. Together they have written hundreds of songs.
They have been in many bands together including "Pestilence" and "Ripped Emotions".
Attila Elek is our incredible bass player who is from Hungary. We are currently with Astral Records and Blue Pie Productions in Australia.

Why this name?
We took it from our old band name "Ripped Emotions". We thought "Ripped" sounded better.
Do you play live?
Yes, we play live. We love The Horseshoe Tavern in Toronto the most, it's always a fun night there.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It gives musicians a chance to be heard by a wider audience and sell their music more.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Maybe
Band History:
RiPPED was conceived and brought to fruition in 1998 with their first demo "Emotions" that attracted their new manager Gerry Young of Current Records & Management (Parachute Club, Martha & the Muffins). With the guidance of an experienced veteran of the international music scene on their side and a strong repertoire of new rock/pop music, Ripped secured their first record deal with Sextant Records / EMI Distibution in early 2002.
The album "Bloodshot" was given a great welcome by Canadian radio. "Make it Happen", produced by the pop rock legend Mike Hanson of Glass Tiger, made it on over 20 radio stations across the country. This was followed up with the great success of "Misery", produced by rock legend Jamie Stewart (The Cult). Video was also good to RiPPED ... "The Haunting" was on rotation at Edge TV and was used as part of the final credits for the feature film "Insight of Evil" (2003) by Slasher Films.

Your influences?
We have a wide range of influences, it's not really one particular band or style of music.
