A rising indie rock band with tremendous talent and endless creativity. Somber vocals accompanied by the beautiful female vocals of Katie Floyd. An emerging artist in the making, that is skyview.
Why this name?
One can only dream to have the hope and faith of a child, with their eyes always fixated on the blue sky above. skyview is just that mentality, always look up.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Oh it has made a huge difference in the way people listen to music. A lot of independent bands have been able to market their music, based on the pure fact that the internet makes it readily accessible.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes, it would be quite possible.
Band History:
skyview started as a solo project for Aaron, but after meeting Katie and hearing her sing, it became a band. He fell in love with her voice and knew that it would add incredible depth that he could not imitate tastefully.
Your influences?
Musically skyview has a wide range of influences. It has its own uniqueness. But if one must compare thee to another, think along the lines of death cab for cutie, onelinedrawing, straylight run, and damien rice.
