I'm 1 half of the production team known as The Cuzinz. I'm also a D.J./recording engineer/technician/advisor...the list goes on a while, for WurldWyde. A group currently working out of Springfield, Missouri. My style is VERY diverse, but I was always interested in bass type music. I use my diversity and years of experience to create bass deeper, louder, and more complicated than ever before. Combined with samples and original works that haven't been used with this type of music before. Feel free to use my stuff to test car audio components, or in competition. You won't find better bass, I promise.

Why this name?
There are 2 parts to my name. Bass/Sick (BasSiK) pronounced 'basic'. I combined the words Bass and Sick to form it. Everyone that hears my stuff always says the same thing, "That bass is sick", so it clicked. The reason the B, S, K, is capitalized is because it stands for BullShit Killer. I'm here to bring music a little reality for a change.
Do you play live?
Not currently. I have in the past with my group WurldWyde, but it's been a while for us.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It gives people a chance to hear stuff they normaly wouldn't hear. Most people don't/won't listen to artists they haven't heard of before (mostly through radio play), so it gives those unplayed people a chance to be heard.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes. I am ready to get something going in my career. I would have to retain creative control however.
Band History:
I've been working with music since I was about 9 years old. I hung around in West End studio in Kansas City, Mo. (where I'm from), and other places, giving suggestions and so on. I've got A LOT of years behind me in this buisness. I've had the pleasure of working with artists like Montel Jordon, Ice Cube, The World Famous Platters, Tech N9ne, just to name a few. I do all of my own recording, mixing, and engineering work. I love what I do, and don't have any wish to do anything else (except maybe movies).
Your influences?
When D.J. Magic Mike, and D.J. Jimi came out in the late 80's, early 90's I was hooked on bass, but I grew up on old school stuff like Al Green, Roger Troutman, Marvin Gaye. I really dig the old school sound and I use that in my stuff.
Favorite spot?
K.C. Mo., Atlanta Ga., Pretty much anywhere in Florida. New Orleans, Memphis. I love the south. I spent a lot of time there growing up. I fit in the south.
Equipment used:
A PC I built myself (I do that too) ACID Pro, Sound Forge (couldn't live without it) Pretty much all of the Sony Media Software. I've been using there stuff for years now and I LOVE it. Other than the PC I take sounds from any equipment I can get my hands on, keyboards, drum machines, movies, whatever I can get my hands on.
Anything else...?
Be true to whatever music (or whatever you do) you make. Don't let some record executive tell you what the public will buy. They are NOT always right. Don't be a puppet.
