Quitsand is the name of a newly formed rock´n´roll band from Stockholm, Sweden.
The band was formed late summer 2004 when Jens & Micke found
Håkan & Danne and tryed to play together.
In the beginning everyone was a litle bit cautious, not realy knowing if it was working.
But after a few weeks the band started to realize that they were a real band.
The work at rehersals started to pay of, and in late December a recording was made.
5 songs were recorded. The result was "Number One"
This year has been full of great gigs around the clubs in Stockholm. And in may Quitsand entered the studio to record the follow up: Broken Angel.
It was released the 21st of may.

Why this name?
We had no name, and Micke had written a song with the name Quitsand, and we liked it as a bandname.
Do you play live?
We have been around for a while and have played at most possible venues in Stockholm.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It makes it easier for the unsigned acts to reach a bigger audience, and the people get a bigger choise, its no longer the record companies that decide what you should listen to and not.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Probably yes :)
Band History:
Still pretty young band, but we recorded an EP in December 2004, just a couple of months after getting together. After that came a lot of gigs in a short time, that made it hard to get time to record the follow up, but now it´s done, and "The Broken Angel" has landed.
Your influences?
All good music is an influence, but to do some cool name-dropping, Velvet Revolver, Foo Fighters, Muse, GNR.
Favorite spot?
