Why this name?
A Johnnyrook is a beautiful, but nearly extinct bird that is active in the Eastern hemisphere.
It exhibits traits of ferocity at times, but it primarily is known for it's beauty. The music we create parallels this.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It has changed music promotion completely and made it easier and harder at the same time.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
If they were terms that were fair and true to the foundation in which we formed the band on. We believe that the artist should retain the majority of the creative control, but we are open to suggestions that others might offer.
Band History:
A stirring and mature blend of emotional rock, Johnnyrook's acoustic tinged music is both charming and enlightening. Featuring members of Mercy's Own fame within their ranks, the group only originally came to be in July of this year but their past experiences performing together definitely shine through. With an EP "Near Far" recorded and a few shows already played, the band look to be able to carve out a considerable audience for themselves if given the proper attention. (wookubus-theprp.com)
