Music has always been a very important part of my life. I believe that each of us have two very distinct personalities that wrestle within us. Music is my way of excercising the more creative personality in myself. It allows me to release the burdens of life the other accumulates.
Why this name?
The word "overneath" is really just an accidental mix of underneath and over there. I thought it was a great play on language and the more I thought about the duplicity of the word the more I liked it.
Do you play live?
No. I can't because I play all the intstruments in the recordings.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
As Internet bandwidth becomes more accessible and faster, more bands will be able to self-promote, letting the purest form of capitalism take hold. The music industry needs to understand and adapt or perish. They are not meeting the desires of their customers.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Sure.
Your influences?
My musical influences are very polar. I love evrything from Mendelssohn to Lamb of God.
Favorite spot?
My studio.
Equipment used:
Ibanez, Martin, Pearl, Ensoniq
