Your Hand
"Waiting Room" consists of Sharon Henry, Mark Dixon, and Daniel Swain, and have been working together for 15 months or so to date. A number of pieces of music have been written in this time, and more should become available over time as we all learn and progress.
Why this name?
Inspired by a sign in Mark's studio - waiting room can mean a number of different things, just by saying it slightly differently each time!
Do you play live?
Not yet, but the group are working towards organising a set of music that combines live performance with computer-based music, and also a visual display for a more immersive experience!
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes
Your influences?
This always seems quite a difficult question to answer - Mark's influences stem from Folk and Trip Hop in the main. Sharon's influences come from the Soul side, from people like Angie Stone, Mary J Blige, Grace Jones, Jill Scott. Finally, Daniel's influences, for this project at least, range from the Jazz of The Bad Plus, to the Hiphop of Jurassic 5, to the Soul of Jill Scott, to the Electro of Massive Attack and Afrika Bambaataa. None of these are extensive lists, they hardly scratch the surface!

Derby
