Dr. Rockenstein was formed during the making of Robbi Spencer's Whisper in the Wind CD. First Ron Wilson built Robbi a killer studio, fully solar powered. Then, legendary guitarist Taiom Zawacki began laying the first tracks with an acoustic guitar on the title track.

Robbi later joined forces with Drummer Vince Rule, to complete the drum tracks. Robbi originally had plans of using sampled drums, only Vinnie convinced him to use real drums.

Taiom pretty much played all of the guitar parts with the exception of the song "One Heartbeat", which features Dennis Foley on lead guitar. Also featured on the album is studio vetran Dave Jewett. Dave lends a hand on "The Four Winds", giving it that `far away' sound. Taiom also played 5-string bass on most of the tracks.

Though at some point, Ron's generator took a crap and the power situation went down hill fast. Ron said he did really care, so Robbi loaded up ALL the equipment from the studio and took it to his girlfriend's house (who was in Germany at the time). It was there that Robbi finished recording tracks and mixing the final tracks.

It was a real pain recording Whisper in the Wind with Ron and Katherine always fighting. Plus being a paid gigalo is not at glamorous as it may seem. I spent more time f***ing and less time working on my music than I wanted to.

Finally, I got my way and broke away from Ron and Katherire and eventually broke the two of them up. Katherine is a really sweet lady, but seriously disturbed mentally and Ron just didn't need the negative influences in his life.
