AK was born in Indiana and lived in between Gary, IN , and Lafayette, IN. He is 18 years old and is the producer of nighjohns hits and beats. He is also an emcee, poet, speaker, author, and a kurltural specialist.

Bayo was born in Huntsville, Alabama. He went to vanderbilt for four years, but didn't graduate. He is 24 years old. He is an emcee, poet, speaker, author, and a kurltural specialist.

AK and Bayo have co-authored a book called "The Hiphop Driven Life". Bayo has also generated another book called "I AM Molecules" with AK. In this AK acted as a creative coordinator to make sure that each point has been made. This book is on the streets yet....but "The Hiphop Driven Life" is available at http://www.olorun.blogspot.com.
Also on the website you will see a couple beats and a song with Bayo(first rapper) and AK(second rapper) called "Blackman's Magnet".
Why this name?
It was based off of the original concept of Night John coming back to slave plantations in the earlier colonial days teaching slaes how to read and write. Today there is mental slavery and were coming to free their minds.
Do you play live?
Working on it.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It changes it a great deal because people all over the world have a chance to see what is going on in other countries through music.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
No...Never!
Band History:
We are just getting started. Still we have given speeches at universities and being published in their newspappers.
Your influences?
We are influenced by artists like Krs-One, Nas, 2pac, common, talib, mos def, ext. Basically concious artists with a possitive vibe.
Favorite spot?
Every spot is tight as long as our music is played and people love it.
Equipment used:
I(AK) personally use, for hiphop beats, the FL Studio with a sh*** load of vst hook ups. Different synths for the bells and whistles and sound pacts full of snares and bass drums for the beat. My personal favorite instrument for the bass guitar is the slayer and boobass.
Anything else...?
Check our website http://www.olorun.blogspot.com. Peace!!!!
