Hello! We are an acoustic duo based in San Francisco, California.

Why this name?
It's my name. Keeping it honest...
Do you play live?
Yes. we play regularly at several cafes and bars in San Francisco, and I host an open mic every Thursday at Bazaar Cafe here in the city. Other venues we've played at include the Freight & Salvage, Cafe Trieste (San Jose), Purple Onion (in North Beach), Brainwash Cafe, Sacred Grounds, Coffee Adventures, Simple Pleasures, Nomad Cafe in Berkeley, Coffee Catz in Sebastapol, and many more in and around San Francisco.
We love playing live and there are too many special moments to count. Once, I was playing at a tiny cafe near Pier 39 and everyone says Will Ferrell came in and sat and listened thru my whole set. I actually had no idea! Lots of great moments though - we love connecting to a new audience and making new friends. When people can relate to the lyrics, it's a huge reward.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think it gives songwriters an opportunity to reach a wider audience they could not otherwise reach.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
We're actually quite happy not signing anything. :-)
Band History:
I've been playing and writing music for about 3 years. It's been a wild, crazy ride!

Eric and I started playing together about 1 year into our relationship. Since then we've been having a blast and it's taken my music to a whole new level.

A few years ago, my song "Hurricanes" was featured on Neil Young's website "Living with War", in "Songs of the Times", which is a huge honor.

One of our favorite moments was opening for my favorite band of all time, Blame Sally, at the legendary Freight & Salvage in Berkeley. I look forward to a long, fullfilling career in music.
Your influences?
I have to say, mostly local groups I hear around the city. There is so much unknown talent out there, it's unbelievable- and inspiring. Also, a whole lot of 70's folk my parents listened to when I was growing up- James Taylor, Carly Simon, Joni Mitchell, Cat Stevens, Simon and Garfunkel.
Favorite spot?
San Francisco. I have written songs, made amazing friends, and met the love of my life (Eric) at a cafe in my neighborhood. Cafes are my favorite hangout and venue.
Equipment used:
A guitar and my voice. We recorded our album using a Motu 8-pre, with 2 mics on each of us. We really do keep it simple. We actually prefer playing completely unplugged if it's at all possible in a venue.
Anything else...?
We hope you enjoy our sound. We are a bit tired of hearing the same over-produced stuff on the radio and we want to be a refreshing change from that sort of thing. Simplicity is sorely missing from a lot of music right now, and our goal is to bring it back through performing and recording - our way.
