We were originally called "Fifth Element". Marc Kempf (CEO of Silent Records) suggested we change the name so we got to thinking. We tried several names out but this was the one we felt fit us the most. We are THE formula. The formula to success, the formula to a great album, the formula to winning a battle, the formula to respect,...etc. etc........we embody it all.

We doin' shows these days. We go off and on alot. One month we'll have up to 3 shows in a single night and the next month we might be in complete solitude writing and/or recording. It really depends on how many new beats we have.

We would sign with a major label as long as we maintaned creative freedoms. There's nothing wrong with someone wanting to put money behind your music.

Brought together by a mutual friend in a basement-studio, they were intended to be adversaries. The two true hip-hoppers in their area, they showed and proved. Their battle lasted hours until it became a freestyle session that could’ve made for classic album material.
