unaHm consists of Daniel Swain, a 22 year-old musician who is keen to work within the music world. His main influences come from Soul, Jazz, Funk, Hiphop, and "modern" variations of these styles, and also Electronic music from artists such as The Prodigy and Aphex Twin.

Daniel is always keen to work with others, be it other instrumentalists, singers, or rappers, and so is pleased when collaborative opportunities come along!
Why this name?
It originally stems from watching a documentary on Electronic music. In this documentary, Genesis P Orridge spoke about how everything in modern culture and society could be "cut up" and re-arranged using the technology available.

This lead to the train of thought that the word "Human", symbolising us and who we are could also be cut up and re-arranged. At the time it was aimed more for IDM music projects, but it's a name that has stuck, and is used regularly.
Do you play live?
The music from unaHm has been geared more towards recording-based productions, although in the future it could well be used live. My work as a Bass player allows live performance for different projects, although this facet of my musicianship may be included in the odd piece of unaHm music, now and again!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Sites such as this are a great resource for musicians and artists looking for some recognition, and provide an easy/easier method of getting music to their intended audiences. As for file sharing, it does affect established artists negatively, but also allows for a wider audience - it's an age-old debate that will forever have pros and cons, but if used correctly it can be a really good source of advertising one's music.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes, that's definitely one of the things I aim to do.
Your influences?
I could create an extensive list here, but the best thing is probably to look at my website!
