Shiloh
Upbeat rhythm with nice vocal harmonies. The song tells a story about the "Prince of Peace" who gave His life so that others may live.

About the song
The title of this song is from a prophecy given about Jesus in Genesis 49:10, which says: "The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come: and unto him shall the gathering of the people be." Shiloh means peace and Jesus is the "Prince of Peace." In a world ravaged by war, crime, and natural disasters, Jesus hears the cry of the human heart and offers Himself as true peace.
Lyrics
SHILOH
verse 1:
He was a simple man, born in a troubled time
Fear and oppression had conquered his people
Oh, how they longed for a sign
Trusting in promises the prophets of old had written
How Shiloh would come, He'd be the one
To lead all His people to freedom
verse 2:
And He came, yet so many did not recognize Him
How could a carpenter's son, so humble and meek
Be God in the form of a man?
Serving the multitudes, feeding them bread from heaven
Healing their sick, raising their dead
Until the day they crucified Him
Bridge:
And only a few would realize
He was the Lamb of heaven
By faith, they'd see through a child's eyes
And so be born again!
verse 3:
Some wonder why- a man who was as good as He
Should suffer and die for no crime of His own
Something like this shouldn't be
But He was wounded for the wrongs that we all have done
For God loved the world so much that He freely
Sacrificed His only Son
verse 4:
Now He lives and He's seated at the Father's right hand
Someday He's coming to call for His own
He'll make all things new once again!
Trust in the promises the prophets of old have written
For Shiloh will come, yes, He'll be the one
To lead all His people to freedom!
