I'm a 40 something guy from Toronto, Ontario who has been playing guitar and writing songs on and off for probably close to 25 years. I'm a basement rock star, and jam with a few friends every other week for fun. I started putting some of my songs and ideas to digital tape in the last year or so and it's been a fun, rewarding hobby for me:)
Why this name?
I like blues, blues rock etc. I stole it from a Fender amp:)
Do you play live?
Not in years, but the last time was fun. I regularly jam with some friends, playing old Led Zep, Beatles, Stones & Deep Purple stuff.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet opens up a whole new world of music to everyone. Just imagine your ideas can be heard by anyone, just a click away. That's powerful. The music just on this site is phenomenal. Something like this would never have existed if not for the internet.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Sure...
Your influences?
I pull a little bit from everything, i don't have one style. Rock, Blues, funk, country whatever. Beatles, Stones, Led Zep, Deep Purple, Pink Floyd, U2, Eric Clapton, Neil Young, BB King, Buddy Guy, Stevie Ray Vaughan and the list goes on and on....
Favorite spot?
I like Toronto. Come visit sometime..
Equipment used:
Fender Strats, 2 of them. Although I've used a Tele, Les Paul & an SG in some of my recordings, Strats are my real love. Fender Jazz Bass, & Traynor YCV50 amp. A few pedals now and then. Zoom PS-04 palm recorder, and Tracktion software.
Anything else...?
