Atmos/Fear X is the future. Atmos/Fear X is a gothic, techno-electronica band that understands what is happening. The world is being taken over by a computerized monster that will one day command our every move. That monster is THE INTERNET.
Why this name?
The name was taken from a combination of past bands that most of us were in. (Band X and Atmosphere)
Do you play live?
We've only really been a band since June of 2000, and only been playing live for a few months, but we all truely enjoy playing live, and entertaining the crowd.
If you make it big..?
If we end up being big, we all have a feeling we'll be popular in countries outside of the US. The techno scene is excellent in Europe and AtmosFear X would fit perfectly there.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think the mp3 drasticly has, and will be changing the course of the music industry. It really helps other bands like us find more of a fan base and makes us look cool too!
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Of course. I'm sure I speak for the whole band when I say this, but signing a record deal is probably the chance of a lifetime. It's what millions of musicians dream about.
Band History:
AFX started in late 1999 under the guidence of the X-Man. At the time the gothic/industrial band was known as Atmosphere. A few months later, after certain members had to leave the band, Simon Blue was added, and provided a light/punk sound to the band. The name was then altered to AtmosFear X (a combination of Band X and Atmosphere). Simon knew a bass player and LJ was then added. Then, the missing piece to the puzzle, lead-singer Jessy Chick was added.
