Self-taught fingerpicking electric blues slide guitar mainly. Been playing about 5 years now.
I usually play a mixture of lap-style and upright, in a few different tunings.

This is just one aspect of my musical spectrum and I have been making music since I was about 17.

-Also now my original songs in non-blues styles and instrumentals-
Why this name?
Special J is a old nickname of mine.
Do you play live?
I haven't played any paid solo shows yet but have played live a fair bit in jam nights and busking, markets etc..
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Not sure. I know I valued music more when I had to save up 25 dollars and go and buy it on tape or CD though!
I think it cheapens music whilst at the same time allowing more opportunities.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I probably would, yes. All depends.
