In our long grizzled career, we have created an EP and many other shorter masterpieces. We now play Fender/Simon & Patrick and Fender like instruments. To give you an idea what made our songs sound the way they do, the bands who we covered the most have been: Nirvana, the Cure, Green Day, the Beatles, Foo Fighters, Led Zeppelin, and the White Stripes.
Why this name?
It was strangely available, apparently no one has heard of a manicjaguar before.... :O
Do you play live?
In the garage, where we feel warm. Also, live in the recording studio. I record exclusively in the Braun Room.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It allows little bands like mine to be heard, and it allows people to fleece the major labels with good cause.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I don't think the major labels are necessary unless you are wanting massive Christina Aguilera type success.
Band History:
Well....we have been Gravy, Bleach, and finally manicjaguar...forming from a three piece band, to a two piece, and now we are down to a one piece with help...
Your influences?
Nirvana, the Beatles, the Cure, Devo, Led Zeppelin, the White Stripes and Brad Pitt.
Favorite spot?
I love California.
Equipment used:
Cream white Mex Strat with a JB Junior in the bridge position, Sonic Blue Mustang, gold Jay Turser strat copy with humbucker in bridge position, white Eastwood Airline reissue, Simon & Patrick folk pro acoutic. Effects pedals are Boss DS-2 Distortion, Pearl Chorus, Ibanez Tremolo, and Electro-Harmonix Small Clone. I have been using a Big Muff through a Fender Blues Jr lately.
