The Road is Officially Open..............

Inside our hearts we are called to cry out a new voice of thoughts and sounds. We shall walk upon fields of great harmony and melodies, screaming to the world a message beyond poetry and words. And finally we are just people, who were born to rock!!! Live life the KALZADA way!!!! \m/
Why this name?
We took the word "KALZADA" (Originally spelled as Kalsada) from the tagalog word,"Road". Why Kalzada? Well, every situation in our lives has led us to different kinds of roads with some twists and turns. Until the 5 of us crossed the intersection where we all met. Thus, KALZADA was born...

Yes!
Band History:
It all started late September 2004. Kalzada started out as a side project, with Jov and Harold as starting members. Looking for bandmates, we were lucky enough to find such talented members out of Mikko "The Black Dog" Miciano (Vocals), Rommel Saldua (Bass) and Anton Moncupa (Drums). Combining our influences, we came up with our own sound that has a touch of Blues, Jazz, Grunge & Classic Rock. The Band officially materialized on Oct. 2, 2004. Our first gig took place at Ikkoi's Bar in BF Parañaque, on the 16th of October. After the first gig the band started to concentrate on there original materials. By November of 2004 we started recording 4 of our originals songs which we give out as demos. After being together for 9 Months our Drummer Anton Moncupa had to leave for Europe to finish his studies. After a long search we got Wilf Trinidad to replace Anton behind the skins. As of that time our sound has evolved from a blues based band to just good old rock & roll which is heavily influenced by Classic Rock & Grunge. We like to make our music as diverse as possible with rock being the main core of our music.

After being together for two years, One of Kalzada’s founding member Jov Kalinga has decided to leave the group to pursue other musical projects. It may sound like a cliché but due to musical differences we had to part ways. As of now we are still a power house with four members still ready to continue the journey as KALZADA.
