The word band is inaccurate because that would infer that there be at least a trio of people.
Why this name?
I needed somewhere to host my garbage audio clips and thought of something on the spot. Hopefully it's a tad recognizable.
Do you play live?
I don't play in front of other people for the most part. I did it recently however and it went extraordinarily well so I'm going to start on a regular basis.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Good music can't be found on the radio so where else is there but the internet? I owe a lot to the internet for exposing me to bands I never would have heard of otherwise.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes.
Band History:
I started recording on a little MP3 player called an iAudio X5. I used the line out port into my computers MIC port into adobe audition. I've gotten some better... REAL recording equipment over time but I still think some of the better recordings I've made were done that way.
Your influences?
BIG STAR. Melodious and ringing. Not to flatter myself but I'd say my three biggest influences are Pete Townshend, Roger McGuinn, and Alex Chilton. Sometimes powerful, sometimes jangly rhythm oriented guitar work. Vocal harmonies.
Equipment used:
SilverFace Fender Princeton Reverb ('77), Eric Johnson Signature Stratocaster w/ a few little tricks of my own under the hood, Yamaha FGX-04-LTD, Martin OM-18, Lexicon Lambda recording interface, AKG Perception 200, Shure SM57, iAudio X5, Adobe Audition 2.0, Barber LTD, ProCo The Rat Reissue.
