Hmmm is a long time collaboration between Herb Heinz and Mark Briggs. Over the years, Hmmm has morphed from a studio project to a 4 piece improv group and back to a studio project. Examples of the range of our endeavors are contained on this page.

We are not currently playing live in this capacity.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet has allowed all of us to display our wares in public, but it has also become a needle in a haystack scenario regarding actually being found by our potential audience.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
No. We have our own label: Is Too Records.
Your influences?
Influences include but are not limited to King Crimson, Fred Frith, The Beatles, Bjork, Miles Davis, Igor Stravinsky, and The Archies.
